ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship

Awards $5,000, renewable annually, to members of underrepresented racial/ethnic minority groups attending ABA accredited law schools.

The American Bar Association Legal Opportunity Scholarship awards $5,000 to recipients attending ABA-accredited law schools. The award is renewable annually up to $15,000.

Eligibility Requirements

Members of underrepresented racial/ethnic minority groups who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and have an undergraduate GPA of at least 2.5 are eligible to apply. The scholarship can only be used at an ABA-accredited law school. Financial need, personal background and community service experience are taken into account.
