Please briefly describe your career goals and professional aspirations? Indicate which area(s) of STEM you intend to pursue in your research career and specify how your current academic program and your overall educational plans will assist you in achieving your career goals and profession aspirations. (250 words or less)
What is the highest degree you plan to obtain? If possible, offer some detail about your proposed research agenda at the doctoral level. If you are planning to attain a combined MD/PhD or DVM/PhD degree, why is a medical professional degree or veterinary degree necessary for you to achieve your research goals? (250 words or less)
Please include a list of the three faculty who will be submitting letters of recommendation on your behalf. Include their names, titles, and email addresses. They can be from other universities and should either be teaching faculty (have taught you in a class) and/or research PIs or mentors. Please *do not* request letters from graduate students.
This essay should be written as a scientific paper and/or extended abstract detailing a recent or ongoing undergraduate research experience. Page length should not exceed 3 pages, inclusive of all footnotes, citations, and exhibits (graphs/charts/etc). Your essay must include your name and the name of your academic institution at the top of each page. You are strongly encouraged to have your current research PI or another mentor in your field review your research essay.
