Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans

Support immigrants and new Americans with graduate funding

50% of tuition (up to $20,000) per year, for one to two years and up to $25,000 in stipend support

Fall Quarter, 4th Year

Must meet foundation’s definition of “New American”

3 required (up to 5 accepted)

Graduate Education for Minorities (GEM) Fellowship**

Increase participation of underrepresented group’s through master’s or doctoral funding

$4,000 living stipend for up to 4 semesters, up to two paid summer internships, full tuition and fees

Fall Quarter, 4th Year

Must be member of underrepresented group and be U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Ford Foundation Fellowship Programs**

Increase diversity in doctoral programs

$24,000 annual stipend, free attendance at Conference of Ford Fellows

Winter Quarter, 4th Year

Must be planning to pursue Ph.D. or Sc.D.

3-5 (4 recommended)

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship*

Defray costs of studying abroad for students receiving financial aid

$5,000 for a one-time study abroad experience

Must be a U.S. citizen and be accepted into a study abroad program

Donald M. Payne International Development Fellowship* Funding for a two-year master's degree program at a U.S. institution $48,000 annually for two years Fall or Winter Quarter, 4th year Must be a U.S. citizen 2

Beinecke Scholarship***

Assistance to students on financial aid to attend graduate school

$4,000 prior to entering graduate school and $15,000 annual stipend

Winter Quarter, 3rd Year

Must be U.S. citizen or U.S. national and have demonstrated financial-need

NIH Undergraduate Scholarship**

Provide scholarships, training, and jobs for students interested in health-related research

Up to $20,000 per year in tuition, summer internship, and year-long full-time job at NIH

Winter Quarter, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Year

Must meet financial need and other requirements (see Eligibility wizard)
