Alumni and Friends of the London School of Economics (AFLSE) in the U.S. Scholarship
The Alumni and Friends of the London School of Economics in the United States (AFLSE) awards at least one scholarship each year to an American citizen or permanent resident of the United States for one year of graduate study at the London School of Economics. The scholarship usually covers full tuition fees.
Selection of scholarship recipients is based on academic merit and financial need, with no restrictions as to age, field of study, or degree being sought.
The scholarship is available to students attending the LSE for the first time or who previously have enrolled in LSE summer school programs only; current and former LSE students are not eligible to apply.
The AFLSE does not have a separate scholarship application. To be considered for the scholarship, prospective students must first apply for admission to the LSE. The LSE will identify candidates who are eligible to apply for the AFLSE scholarship through the Graduate Merit Awards selection process. U.S. citizens and permanent residents who receive Graduate Merit Awards may apply for the AFLSE scholarship by checking the relevant box on the Graduate Support Scheme application.
Although there is no specific deadline for this program, students are encouraged to apply to the London School of Economics as soon as possible. Students will be notified by April 15 of every year.
